I'm still fuming from the weekend's result... And what just keeps getting me even more annoyed is that fact that it is only going to get worse.

I really felt sorry for Chez on Sunday becuase he was given no protection what-so-ever from our defence and he seemd to be the only player showing passion and hurt every time we conceeded a goal. Did anyone see Rosicky's reaction of MOTD2????? He was standing in the wall for Rooneys first free-kick, never jumped and just walked away never looking back.... A broken man at 2-1 and he's supposed to be the type of players who our younger lads rely on? f**k off you bottle merchant.

Johan has proved once again why he cannot play along-side anyone at centre back and yet again making clumsy tackles and mistakes... I mean, getting muscled off the ball by Danny Welbeck? Honestly?!

RVP needs to be stripped of the armband and have it given to Vermealen with Shez as vice-captain.

2 days until the transfer window closes and were not going to sign anyone. We are well and truly f***ked.

Man Utd Vs Arsenal | Premiership 28/08/2011

Postby Plymouth Gooner » Mon Aug 29, 2011 9:07 am

What is worrying is that was our 2nd and 3rd best centre backs! Utd had their 4th and 5th playing (their 3rd was covering at RB!)
Squad with players better than we have, who go to lesser clubs:

Stekelenburg (4m)
Szczesny
Sagna--Mertesacker--Koscielny--Gibbs
Jenkinson--?????--Vermaelen--Monreal
?????--Wilshere/Arteta
Ramsey--Wilshere/Arteta
Cazorla
Rosicky
Walcott------Podolski
Chamberlain------?????
?????
Giroud

I actually agree TLM about RVP being captain. He wasn't a captain yesterday and no one took a leader role either.

I have thought of something bright to take from yesterday - At least it wasn't at Ashburton Grove :D

At least he knew how to throw the cash about.

And he knew how to organise a defence.
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run

It was bad that's for sure but at least there is the consolation of knowing that we fielded a seriously weakened side. For me the really worrying part is what does it say for the strength of the squad? Every team has injuries and suspensions but there is supposed to be adequate cover in the squad. Well, there wasn't adequate cover yesterday, not by a long way. :(

If it was, the booing would have been heard throughout London.

We're too nice to the supporters of other teams on here. We need to get in their faces and rough 'em up a little.

We all knew the squad wasn't good enough, quality or quantity-wise. It's just a shame that our inadequacy had to be demonstrated so vividly by Man Utd.
