If he's definitely going as everyone is saying, then why is he even on the bench?
I know we're short of players but we could easily use Barazite instead, same position and he's not on loan.

Maybe AW is still harbouring a faint hope, that by showing faith in him, he will do a complete u-turn and sign for us.

Yeah maybe...bit late for that though.
Even if he played 90 minutes in both remaining games I doubt if that would be enough to change his mind unless he scored a hatrick in both.

He's probably just giving Merida a send off. Just because he's leaving (as everyone thinks) no need to ship him out the back door. We are pretty much locked into 3rd so why not put him in the squad? He was at Arsenal for a long time in his young career, give him a few minutes as a send off.

I'd really like to see RVP on the right and Bendtner in the middle, but Wenger has a bee in his bonnet about RVP playing in the centre. If they both start I have a feeling it will be RVP in the middle and Bendtner on the right - which does no favours to either player!!!
Squad with players better than we have, who go to lesser clubs:

Stekelenburg (4m)
Szczesny
Sagna--Mertesacker--Koscielny--Gibbs
Jenkinson--?????--Vermaelen--Monreal
?????--Wilshere/Arteta
Ramsey--Wilshere/Arteta
Cazorla
Rosicky
Walcott------Podolski
Chamberlain------?????
?????
Giroud

Cos Bendy has the 1st touch of a rapist (but he's getting better), then again RVP also has the touch of a rapist (allegedly), but he does know how to control a ball and has a great volley shot.

We should just play 4-4-2 with RVP as a SS in the hole behind Bendy

Well earlier in the season RVP was on fire in the centre and his link-up play with the midfielders was the reason why we were getting so many goals. It's not only about the player as an individual anyway, it's about the team as a whole, but it does do RVP a favour since he scores a lot of goals.

RVP has a great record against Blackburn and usually scores against them

Robinson also tends to let in at least 4 whenever he faces us be it for Leeds, Spurs or Blackburn

We're scoring 5 minimum then
