Sachin Tendulkar

Tendulkar has completed 20 years of test cricket this month.
I wanted to know the views of the cricket fans here, Is he the greatest batsman the world has seen since the Don? Your thoughts?

20 years? Never!

Gawd, I'm pushing on a bit!

He's got shoving 70,000 FC runs to his name, and that's not a total to be sniffed at lightly! Certainly one of if not the most talented cricketers of my era.

I'm just wondering what his 50 conversion rate to 100 is.

87 International hundreds, 30K international runs, 20 years of belting bowlers all over the world, you really have to wonder what keeps this man going.

Pah, he's never faced one of my leg spinners...... I'd have him tamed within an over. :shifty:

Warney taught me all I know, and I mastered it better than him. I reckon I could have taken Gatting in a far more spectacular fashion, cartwheeling that middle stump all the way to New Zealand.......

Seriously though, Warney must have scalped him at some point......

He did at times, yes. But overall, his record against Tendulkar was pretty poor.

Tendlukar is mustard. There have been some amazing cricketers retiring within the last 10 years, i wonder if the next generation are going to produce cricketers as great as the ones we have recently had?

For sheer aggression and power, Freddie will be missed. Pace, McGrath will be missed. For spinners, Murali and Warney will be missed.

Thing is, I never thought we'd see an all rounder like Lillee or a bowler like Kapil Dev/Marshall/Holding/Garner again, how wrong was I? Botham was the best thing to happen to English cricket, he couldn't be replaced.....

The list goes on

From the very first in the cricket sport, Sachin Tendulkar remains my favourite player. I love to watch his batting so much. He is one of the best player in the Indian cricket team.

He got out on 98 against the Aussies in the 1st Test.
Would have been his 49th Test 100. :dizzy:
