so , i have started playin winter cricket . it is only a short off season (cricket is usually a summer sport here in oz) and there are eight 2 day games . the games are played on consecutive saturdays . our team is called "thirsty work" and so far we have played 3 matches . i think you'll be able to tell that i am a very ordinary batsman , but i am a fairly handy 2nd change bowler and 1st slip fieldsman .

match 1

1st innings thirsty work - 26 (ozgooner 4 runs)
1st innings pine rivers - 105 (ozgooner 0 for 16 off 3 overs + 1 catch)
2nd innings thirsty work - 278 (ozgooner 10 runs)
2nd innings pine rivers - 106 (ozgooner 1 for 11 off 4 overs)

match 2 (1st weekend rained out so it was a one day game)

innings of sanford - 128 (ozgooner 0 for 5 off 2 overs + 1 catch)
innings of thirsty work - 196 (ozgooner did not bat)

match 3 (1st weekend rained out so it was a one day game)

innings of thirsty work - 260 (ozgooner 0) :rofll:
innings of ferny grove - 93 (ozgooner 1 for 8 off 2 overs)

All out for 26!!! What the hell happened? I cannot believe you still came back to win the match.

Not bad bowling and fielding, how did you get your wicket?

i don't know what happened in the first innings when we were all out for 26 , but we did only have 9 players and the bowler for pine rivers got all 8 wickets . he was a gun bowler who could swing it a mile .
my wicket in that game came courtesy of a slow ball which was popped up by the batsman for a very easy catch to short midwicket ;)

this a new team for this season A.D.S. but i have been playin winter cricket (it's too f%%king hot in the summer to be standin in the field for 5 hours) for the past 3 seasons . a very long time ago i was playin junior cricket from under 11's until under 17's . i then discovered that i enjoyed drinkin and chasin skirt more , so i gave up for around 12 years until these last three seasons ;)
i have been playin indoor cricket almost every year at least one comp for the last 10 years though .....

i do love me cricket (playin , watchin and talkin bout it) ;)
