Nominate your all-rounder.

As with the other threads, the top amount of nominees will go into the poll to help decide our GoonersWorld all time XI

Same choice for me as well, but I'm going with Sir Beefy.

ERM............Sir Garfield Sobers.......world record with the bat, could bowl seam up or spin and the best slip fielder you would ever see.......

sorry guy's there can only be one choice for allrounder and that has to be Sobers........

I didn't have him in my earlier batting order, so Sobers for me.

well sobers can't NOT be in the team, he's arguably the greatest ever cricketer, one of the greatest ever batters (its ubsurd he didn't make more than 2 peoples picks in the top order), a good bowler with a good average and the greatest fielder ever.

but i nominated him as batsman in his own right - he was better than lara imo.

beefy is my favourite ever player, but not in the same league as khan.
khan averaged 23 with the ball, making him one of the greatest bowlers ever, and averaged mid 30's with the bat.
in his last 3 seasons he averaged under 20 with the ball and over 50 with bat.
he was insanely good.

personally i believe khan was a better "allrounder" but sobers should most certainly be in the team.
sobers is similar to kallis, supreme batsmen with amazing averages (of course sobers did it on uncovered pitches) but also very good bowlers averaging just over 30. they're both batting allrounders, imo khan was a 'pure' allrounder.
