Fulham Football Club’s United States international winger, Clint Dempsey is rumored to be a high profile target for Arsenal this coming summer.
With 13 goals this season for the Cottagers, and having broken several American player records this season in the English Premier League, the Texas born player is looking at perhaps the biggest summer of his life.
Dempsey has been on a rich vein of form all season and is arguably in the best form of his career heading into this summer transfer window.
With Fulham being a squad usually forced into selling players to make new purchases, as unfortunate as it would be for Martin Jol’s side to lose Dempsey it may just be necessary for the future of the club moving forward with fresh talent.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is usually not one to purchase players already nearing their prime age such as Dempsey at the age of 29, but the Gunners have truly been in need of some quality veteran skill on the ball in recent seasons.
Dempsey still has at least two or three top seasons in his tank and a three year contract would not be a bad idea for the Gunners.
The Daily Express has broken news that an offer in the range of £10 million could be made to Cottagers for the former Furman Paladin and New England Revolution attacker.
If he does move to Arsenal you can rest assured that Dempsey is sure to be tested as to just how good he is with a chance to participate in the UEFA Champions League.
On top of that, his move and his performance for Arsenal will undoubtedly set the benchmark, either good or bad, for United States internationals at the highest level.

Arsenal could be set to make a summer move for Fulham midfielder cum striker Clint Dempsey.
The American international, previously linked with a move to Liverpool, has caught the eye of Arsene Wenger after a stunning campaign that has seen him score 19 times.
According to the Daily Express, Arsenal would need to stump up £10 million pound for the American international a sum that Wenger may be prepared to pay as he looks to bolster his squad.
Any more for the 29 year old could be complicated by the fact that Fulham boss Martin Jol is keen to tie the player down to a new deal.
