We could get much better for that price IMO.

I like the idea of Santos as an LM, not perfect but much better than LB.

12-16 million is about the same as the Mancs paid for Kagawa, depressing. But if we want a goal scoring midfielder, I'm not sure who's better and would cost the same.

Gervinho has to prove he can produce and Chamberlain is still raw. He's the best option I think if we had to play that formation. I still prefer the 4-3-3 because Podolski can play LW but LM for me is stretching things. It also allows Arteta and Wilshere to pair up which I think will be awesome.

He is totally unproven. I'd rather sign dempsey or another premiership proven player.

Unproven how? Because he has never played in the Prem?

I agree that Dempsey would be a safer signing, but this Dzagoev looks quality, and according to the reports i've read he can be had for under £10m due to his contract situation.

I'd like Dempsey however.

I don't think it is at all, it may be low on overall quality but its a harsh and difficult league to play in. He looks a good prospect but anything over £10m and i'd rather sign Dempsey.

£15m?

For a guy who has about 6 months left on his contract? Doubt it.

For 8m, he's worth a gamble.

What has he done to be worth 15m?

There's something about him that I really like, his technique is brilliant and I'm sure he'll be better than Arshavin who you paid more for.

Obviously you can't judge anything in this tournament but from what i saw, the thing that most impressed me was his engine and his willingness to throw himself into any situation, be that defending or trying to get on the end of a ball.

Sometimes you have to take a gamble in the transfer market too, pretty much all of Wenger's best transfers have been gambles.

I agree mate, his record at club level is actually quite impressive. I don't think we will sign him at all however, i think its just rumours and absolutely nothing concrete, i think the best we can hope for now is another midfielder, anything more than that as well as keeping RvP is a bonus.
