According to reports Mascherano and Agüero retired too.
Higuain, Lavezzi and Biglia might follow.

- Their goalkeerper had the game of his life
- We should have had 10+ penalties .. shit ref

He will come back once his mummy puts his dummy back in for him.

Typical though, basically slagging his teammates for Argie cos they're not as good as his Barca ones. At Barca if he turns up he can easily guide them to a treble, for Argie he doesn't play as well but somehow suggests he's given his all and other lets him down :dontknow:

Would be amazing if 'Tapiano Penaldo' can bag the winner in the Euro final. He missed his pen and came back with a bang in game 3 to put his team through (even if in dodgy fashion).

Feel for him. Right thing do, no point with playing with such bottlers. Ronaldo is the biggest bottler though, watch Portugal get knocked out despite supposedly having the 2nd best player in the world. Disturbing what a crap bottler Ronaldo is. Can't even win anything with Nani, Quaresma, Fonte, Renato Sanchez and other good players in the team

Aguero and Masch follow Messi into retirement.

Those useless wanks - Di Maria and Higuain - to retire as well alongside Banega and Biglia.

Holy Molly!

While not official, MARTINO has taken the decision to no longer continue on as Argentina coach. Should this be the case, the Olympic team could be without a coach for the tournament in August.

It is worth mentioning that MARTINO has not been paid his salary in about 7 months.

The last bit is worrying - but good riddance. Argentina FA needs to be destroyed tbh.

Save us..

Save for Messi, Masch, and Aguero (to a lesser extent), those useless players could retire for all I care. Aguero said that Messi was in the worst condition he'd ever seen him after a match.

I think Messi will play in the World Cup in 2018. It's all on the FA now. They have to assure Messi.

Dybala, Lamela, Lavezzi are still decent enough. Of course, Dybala is a prodigy, but it's better to have a passionate player like Lavezzi or a grounded one like Lamela than have egotistical players like di Maria or Banega, or poor man's Arteta like Biglia.

Higuain doesn't have attitude issues, but choking in three finals is too much.

I hope Argentina get Pellegrini as a manager. He's not some tactical wizard, but he's better than anyone out there who'd be willing to come.

What a bunch of pussies. Messi started it all, spineless. Lost respect for him.

Imo, these retirements are a show of power by the players than actual ones.

What a bunch of QUITTERS.

This is embarrassing.

Another reason why Messi will never be the greatest footballer ever.

I heard some news that Sanchez has been injured early in that match and still continue to play for another 100+ minutes. Hope he is okay.
