Must say I've been impressed by Matias Suarez of Anderlecht. Even though they're losing to the better he's been one of their plus players. Y'all need to peep his volley which hit a post in the 1st stanza. Vicious. Unbelievable tekkers!

Biglia hasn't been so impressive.

Volley was nice indeed, later in the game good ball controll with his head and feeth to get past 2 men in the 18 yard box.
Kouyaté has impressed me aswell, he's very quick/strong and had a few good interceptions/tackles.

According to several places, he has already been signed on a pre by us for £5m and will be our first summer signing.

Agree on both your observations. Kouyate has done well but, he'll need another couple of seasons there I think. How old is he?

If that is so I very much look forward to seeing him. I would imagine it'd take a season to adjust to the rigours of our league but, he certainly has bags of talent. Love the fact he's prepared to do the unusual.
Reminds me of a young, precocious, fearless RvP actually...

Kouyate just turned 23 in january.
Wouldn't even mind him at our club (if he keeps improving), you can just see this guy has potential and consistency aswell.

You usually seem to have a good view on talent so i trust that judgement.

On another note, i have no problem with these kind of £5m signings, as long as we sign another striker.

But knowing our luck, he'll replace someone impossible of replacing...

Anyway, hope the news is true.

Can I just ask why did ITV get rid of Jim Rosenthal and replace him with presenters like Adrian Chiles. Jim appears to add something to the debate where as putty faced Chiles just does noting apart from appear like a rabbit in headlights with his knowledge of football.

Also regarding Matias Suarez to Arsenal with the pre-contract agreement, I thought that was all bullshit? He will be a top target in the summer but I don't think we have a pre-contract agreement.

LOL put all my encouragement for Ajax in the chit chat thread.

I was very impressed with how Ajax played today, toothless but brillait in possesion.

They went out but a 2-1 victory at United should leave the fans proud, there's a very good team there which simply need some clinical strikers and a little bit of experience up front.

@ gunns: agreed. Should RvP leave we'd need someone who can step into that role and hit the ground running, as well as purchasing Suarez.
Also get rid of Chamakh or Park.
Selling Bendy to Sunderland (who look likely to get more transfer money for Gyan) would bring in added funds for sure.

I would certainly try to test Newcastle's resolve and see what offer they'd accept for Ba. However, seeing how much they got for Carroll they would play hardball with anyone looking to sign Ba.

We wont sign Ba, his knee scuppered that deal years ago...

And yet we signed Mertasacker after he had reconstructive surgery on his ankle not so long ago...

I'd wager Ba's inflated value would stop us from making a bid rather than a previous injury (from which he's proven he's well recovered).

Or even Bent but, Villa would want to recoup that £24m they spent on him. And admittedly his value has probably increased too due to his goalscoring prowess.
