Gervinho did everything in this game but score. It's becoming way too often now.

Not surprised none of the big boys won it.
Cote D'Ivoire needn't worry too much as its on again next year.

That got me rolling.. Wtf? Lol

No pity on Gerv. Save his goal, he was under par in this competition. Played much like Theo.

Drogba should feel more agrieved than Gervinho as he missed that pen in normal time to win it.

I hope its in summer and not winter

It rains in many parts of Africa during British summer time.

Don't get me wrong, it's great for them, it's great for the continent... but not great for the leagues they play in.

I basically hate international football anyhow, because I don't find it entertaining 90% of the time the matches are just negative borefests.

I wouldn't care at all if the leagues would cater to the international matches like they do for WCQ, Friendlies and Euro qualifiers. But the CAF needs to realize that holding this competition when they do and as frequently as they do lessens the value of their players to the Euopean leagues by 10-20% right off the top because they can't play for their clubs 10-20% of the time.

It would have been good and bad to win this I think. One could leave this competition defeated and carry that form into the season, but a true player would get even more ambitious to win something and improve upon that experience. I guess we are going to see what type of player Gervinho is.
