Alexis Sanchez makes Real Madrid gaffe during Barcelona presentation
One of the golden rules of starting a new job is to always check the dress code…something Alexis Sanchez failed to do when he turned up to his Barcelona unveiling sporting the colours of Real Madrid.
The Chilean striker, signed for an initial £23million from Udinese, went through the traditional rigours of posing for the press during his official presentation on Monday afternoon.
However, after initially turning up to the Nou Camp in a trendy denim number, Sanchez for some reason decided to ditch the shirt and revealed a crisp white T, which is the famous colour of fierce rivals Real.
After a quick word in the ear from displeased Barca president Sandro Rosell, Sanchez sharpishly rustled up his third outfit change of the day, and signed his contract donning a timeless black polo.
Despite the embarrassing wardrobe faux pas, the 22-year-old still had time for a fourth and final shirt swap, by whipping on what all the gathered crowd had been waiting to see him in…the legendary red and blue Barcelona stripes.
