Great post again Rodders, what have i got to do to convince you to get your arse on on here all the time???
Hleb got MOTM & thoroughly deserved he worked his socks off & took the piss out of villa on many counts, personally i think it was after Alex went off is when we went a bit flat.
(still no news on his injury.)
Still at the end of the day Job Done! 3pts in the bag, Top of the League & STILL UNBEATEN!
How sweet is life for us Gooners! Cant Grumble!

We were brilliant and resilient at Aston Villa on Saturday. Villa had a lot of belief in their side so to take the three points needed something special.
In the first half I felt we were absolutely amazing. We moved the ball quickly, we were accurate in the short spaces and we could play the ball through the eye of a needle.
Why did we lose our game in the second half? Well I think that was down to the physical commitment of Villa and the fact that some of my side dropped off a little bit. Even at the end of the first half I felt we became a little bit easy.
John Carew was a handful. They played with four strikers and were very direct. We were tested but we handled the problem well.
I suppose another reason for dropping off is the fact that we lost Alex Hleb at the start of the second half. He is a specialist in this kind of passing.
He had a kick on his Achilles. Alex had a hamstring problem before the game but we decided to play him. He had a little recurrence and I am not sure he will be available for Newcastle on Wednesday night.
That is my worry at the moment, we lose players in every game. I hope we’ll get them back soon.
Games like this one at Villa used to be a problem for us but we are more resilient and have more experience these days.
It was also difficult because we were coming into this game on the back of a defeat. When you have a set-back the way the team responds can have a big impact on the season. But the way we played showed that it did not bother us..
We had an opportunity to strengthen our lead in the Premier League and we did it. We have another one at Newcastle on Wednesday and we want to take advantage of that. It is a very big week for us.
Thanks for your support.
