Fabregas wants RvP to stay at Arsenal

Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has admitted he wants Robin van Persie to stay and win trophies with the Gunners.

Van Persie inherited the armband from Fabregas last summer after he left Emirates Stadium and returned to his boyhood club Barcelona.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is now having to deal with speculation over the future of the Dutchman – Fabregas shares his old boss’ desire for last season’s top-scorer to stay with the Gunners and lift the club’s first trophy in seven years.
