My bet is Chelsea and City will enjoy the short term success while we bitch and moan about it. But then what happens when these owners die or remove themselves from the club? Don't think for one second they will just donate the value of all of their holdings to the betterment of the club as a gift. They will take it like the gready businessmen they are and demand every penny of their valued holdings. They didn't become rich by playing it nice. Even if they give to someone in the family, they could care less like Kroenke and they'd be negatively affected. Then Chelsea and City will cease to exist or be forced to pay off debt with players and sink down each league table.

But due to FFP, this won't happen.

Have a read up of City's long term plan mate. It's much better than what Abramovich is doing.

It'll be the day Real, Barca, Milan, Utd etc. break away and form a European super league.

Arsenals is poor, we fiddle the books to keep the share price and value of the club high bit like Rangers.

'ello stranger!!!!!!

I don't know about fiddling the books, but I'm pretty sure the year on year record profits does a lot in keeping the share prices high.

No chance, we wouldn't make it past security.

In regards to Kuwait, I was talking about man shittys strategy that Yorky mentioned.

Shittys 3 year plan:

1. Purchase top level army over 3 transfer windows

2. Invade kuwait, seizing the oil fields

3. Use proceeds from acquired oil to finally buy out arsenal

4. Realise that this is still thinking too small

5. Buy the premier league

We have scrapped and fought for years, selling players to make massive payments to reduce the debt. We are now on a position where we are 5 years off of wiping our debt out completely and producing pure profit.

A football club that will make surplus every year without player sales or debts to service. Unheard of. Fans think in transfer windows. businessmen think in financial quarters, fiscal years, 5 - 10 year plans etc and the way we are going, no amount of financial regulation could ever hinder us from having massive amounts of money.

We won't need to borrow in the future, well be in a position to finance other clubs! We all look at the shittys, manures, liverfools, rangers of this world and know our house of cards won't fall down because our owners got nicked for war crimes, dodgy dealing, military coups or any other reason why these individuals piss off with their riches.

And, we still finished in a CL spot. Pretty darned good result, I'd say.
