Rewatched The Good The Bad and the Ugly yesterday.

Ive not seen it for a while and the civil war scenes just blew me away. Forgot how powerful they are alongside that incredible sound track.

Greatest film of all time.

Still great, even if Gleeson is a bit iffy. I love the score and the dance sequence remains the greatest scene in the history of cinema.

8/10

Agreed. Fantastic movie.

Though not a traditional Turing test—or even one at all if we were to get pedantic—with Ava, I thought the movie did an excellent job of blurring the line between humans and AI (when viewed from a human perspective, of course).

Loved this film, was totally engrossed when I watched it.

The Wailing - I swear we are living in a golden age for horror movies. I think the highest praise I can give a horror movie is that it made me, even for a moment, believe in the supernatural.

Quite late but just saw Shutter Island, another Martin-Leo masterpiece. Show the spoiler
Anyone else really hoping that Chuck/Sheehan let Crawley know that his free roam therapy had actually worked? Considering Laeddis says the "rather live a monster or die a good man" line at the end?

Films I've watched recently

Alice: Through The Looking Glass 6/10

Bad Neighbours 2 10/10 - only a matter of time before Zac Efron is called up to the big leagues.

The Nice Guys 9/10 - very well done. Goslings best movie so far. Crowe is awesome.

WarCraft 8/10 - never played the game. Decent enough.

Shutter Island is one of my favourite films, watched it a few times.

Has anyone seen Miracles from Heaven? I don't cry at films ever and this had me with tears rolling down my face and I couldn't stop!

Deadpool (2016).

Like the first time, I laughed throughout but I don't think the fact that it pokes fun at superhero movie tropes excuses itself from the fact that it subjects itself to a lot of them too. A good watch nonetheless.

Dogville by von Trier.

Not a movie I'll watch again in the next 10 years I think, but I am impressed. Although it's been criticised as pretentious and "un-american" a lot, it strikes me as bold and artistic filmmaking. Although more than once just boring to watch, it makes the points it wants to make very well. Great acting by Kidman too.

Watched - Suicide Squad over the Weekend - You could see the studio interference all over it being so roughly edited throughout.

Not Enough Joker - Too Much Deadshot and Harley Quinn steals the show. 6.5/10

Extra half point for the superb soundtrack.
