People used to joke on here about AW fielding an entire team of Attacking Midfielders but its actually heading that way!

Szczesny
Yennaris Song Coquelin
Ramsey Arteta Wilshere
Rosicky Diaby Ozyakup
Arshavin

AW "But ze will not be able to cope wiz our movement and intelligence and I 'ave always said Arshavin eez a super quality Centre Forward"
Szczesny
Mertesacker - Koscielny
Sagna - - - - - - Arteta - - - - - - Gibbs
Cazorla - - - Wilshere
Walcott - - - - - - - - - Podolski
Giroud

"Santi Cazorla; you couldn't get the ball off him in a phone-box."

Arsenal~Fanatic wrote:You know for the entire match we had Gibbs fighting a lone battle on the left hand side. Both Rosicky and Ramsey were no were near the flanks. Gibbs had a very good game especially in light of nobody present ahead of him.

I think that was entirely deliberate though. They were trying to cut Drenthe's options down by narrowing the midfield and forcing him to stay out wide and try to take on gibbs rather than cutting inside. Gibbs had a pretty decent handle on him all evening and then, when we had the ball was able to overlap quite easily.

Ramsey as a wide player isn't a winger type. But he did reasonably well coming off the wing to support RVP for knock downs and the like. Okay, so he fluffed his shots when he got there, but at least he was trying to. Compare that to Theo, who just wasn't gambling enough on making runs into the box.

he does switch off in games sometimes but there was a period last season when he had a run in the team where he looked very solid and his injury looked to be a real problem.
a decent squad player who provided he plays only at centre back i would happy to see him as cover

This.

He is decent enough for a 4th choice CB. He may had a couple of decent games for us at RB but imo he is a liability at RB as we found out the hard way against United. He should be utilized only as a 4th choice CB and never as a cover to the RB position.

he's a liability at CB IMO as well
offload him, bring in someone better, or failing that, promote Bartley

Walcott spent the game up against Leighton Baines. Gervinho was up against Tony Hibbert. Hell, even I could do reasonably against Hibbert.

Not saying that Walcott had a good game, because he didn't. But there's reasons for that. He's still our 2nd most productive player in terms of goals/assists after RVP.

exactly every time Walcott comes up against a reasonable defender he goes missing. Why? because he lacks the skills to be a great winger.

13th of May 2012 Arsenal beat West Brom 3-2 to finish 3rd ahead of Newcastle. Gooney is still yet to leave the forum...

Have faith in Ramsey, he'll come good
