Wenger replaced Paddy with Cesc before Cesc was ready and has now replaced Cesc with Jack. Did anyone really expect Wenger to spend big on a midfielder? I'd say Jack is more ready than Cesc was when he was thrown in at the deep end!

I don't think Wilshere has the eye for a defense splitting pass like Cesc had when he was his age, other than that I would say he is better at almost everything else.

Arteta impressed me Yesterday,Ok he wasn't heavily involved in the second half but he made some great passes in the first. He and Van Persie linked up very well at times and hopefully we'll see more of that in games to come.He put Ramsey through with a beautiful ball in the first few minutes and the Welshman should have at least got a shot on target.

Jack is different to Cesc, just like Cesc is a different type of player to Paddy.

Jack is ready.

Not true, there are loads of examples of that. Gervinho's first goal for example.

Agreed...

Jack is much more industrious and has a higher work rate but I doubt he will ever have the natural creative edge that Cesc has, saying that I think Wilshere has more to his all round game and will be a bigger player for Arsenal then Fabregas ever was.

Sorry but I disagree! Cesc was our heart and soul for last few years, Wilshere may be part of a winning side, but (I would love to be proven wrong) he doesn't have that raw skill that Cesc has, and he doesn't seem like he's going to be the player everyone depends on. Cesc was ever present, always scoring, always assisting, I seriously doubt that Wilshere can/will replicate or surpass that.

I just hope the press and hype surrounding jack hasan't got so much to his head he fucks off to Madrid one day and actually stays with us for years and years.

Disagree with that. Jack plays killer balls all the time, he would have had around 15 assists last season if not for the incompetence of our forwards. Let's remember when Cesc was 19 he was surrounded by better players. The one thing Cesc has that Jack doesn't (nor anyone else) is a natural ability to find oceans of space even at the highest level.

If nothing else his experience and as Wenger put it, "technical security", will benefit us this season

Your a new fan i presume? Cesc wasan't as effective as what Vieria was. Different player entirley yes, thing is Vieira didn't need a system built specifically for him yet still won so much with us and was so effective with anyone he played with, someone who helped others around him, much more than cesc who did everything but others around him in his system suffered.

One thing that was obvious about Arteta right from the kick off, he sure is good at winning the ball in dangerous areas!
Put Ramsey through with that chance in the first minute after tackling right from the front, then did the same thing again a few minutes later.
Already looks 1000 better defensively than Cesc and Nasri.

Btw, good to see Coquelin get another chance, he deserves it.

Just watching the highlights, RVP and Ramsey were awful in front of goal, we could have won 5-0 if they'd taken their chances!

Agree. I think if Ramsey scores his chance in the first minute we win 3-0. But a win is a win and we got a clean sheet. Confidence can only grow.
