Theres no point playing RVP CF if we're relying on Bendtner/Chamakh.

well i watched this bullshit!!!! AW owes these kids an apology to put these kids through this is absolute crap.the fact is to let his experience walk and let the squad get so thin,on the bright side good to see some of these kids gut it out,but it was ovious halfway through the first half frimpong would probably get sent at some stage, miguel is clearly not up to it we have no mid feild creativity that shows in how poor RVP has looked in two games,AW has to go simple as to who we get i would take anyone we look absolute shit the way we are playing we are looking mid table

A squad wins a league, not a starting XI. Wenger should of addressed this months ago.

This might be the understatement of the year, but things are not looking good at the moment. I'll be honest, I'm bricking it.

On a positive note from today, despite behaviour Frimpong is raw talent, and will definatley be one to keep an eye on progress, hopefully todays bookings & eventual sending off will give him time to reflect & not knock his confidence, the lad has fire in his belly. Jenkinson looked solid at times... so ones for the future definatley. Verm was top dog.
That is all.

But right now we need quality experience. You know it, i know it, every idiot knows it......well almost (mentions no names!!) detect hints of sarcasm of the highest order.
Miguel what a disastrous debut bouncing that ball off Ramsey for the own goal. Im not blaming either, it was one of those freak things, i could bloody scream! .... and have done so. :crybaby:

3 red cards in 2 games, ok Frimps was 2x yellow, lucky not to be a straight red, or maybe until the FA look into it & he gets the book thrown at him, knowing our luck lately.
Im sick to death of the refusal to spend on quality players! whether that be down to AW or the Board or even Gazidis, honestly i dont know who to believe! maybe none would be a good start! especially when we are gettiing injuries & suspensions left right & centre!! we sign a kid for £15m who warmed the bench today when we could have had Juan Mata for that a few weeks ago. No excuses. If he is that good we are paying that price for him then why didnt he even get 5 mins!

As for the bench...seriously!? I know we have depth problems but AS IF they would put the fear of god into the scouse, MASSIVE wake up call! Bendy with his big ego & Chamakh who wanders round the pitch like a timid squirrel half the time, the rest unproven at top level.......speaks volumes.

We have sold Cesc, Clichy, Eboue & soon to be Nasri, yet we have only brought in 1 experienced player, even if he is unproven in the prem in Gervinho.
We need strengthening at the back, everyone can see that & we bring in Jenkinson, as good a 'prospect' as he is, (as said above) we do not have time for players to mature, we are back in transition, the 10yr plan did not come to fruitition, i admired Wenger's plans in theory but its not working in practise, and there needs to be some major signings before this window ends for any glimmer of faith to be restored, but i honestly cant see that happpening. I do believe the growing number of 'wenger out' gooners are being heard but not listened to, but clearly being taken seriously enough for Dein to come out of the shadows to do interviews to bring calm....actions speak louder than words.
Even if we did bring in a a few top quality players im not blinkered enough to think it will all come good overnight.

One thing that is a major concern for me is experience, we may have these exciting kids with potential but who is going to guide them? Cesc had Vieira, Van Persie had Bergkamp, and so on......

TBH i think the entire squad is suffering the hangover of Cesc's departure, dont forget the team was built around him & the leaving of Clichy to City...a player who on his last contract couldnt wait for the ink off the print to dry before signing needed a fresh start! We have sold Eboue, who fair enough not many rated but to replace with who? a kid fresh out of the youth team, THIS IS NOT a squad of winners. To add to the woes Gibbs, Djourou, Wilshere, Traore & now Koscienly injured to name a few!
We are all looking to the return of Wilshere to try & salvage some pride but it comes to something when you put the weight of the team on a 19yr olds shoulders...as good as he is this should not be happening.

2 games in and we are already having a nightmare. Give me STRENGTH!
I love Arsenal & will support every player who pulls on the shirt, however hypocritical that may sound after ranting but i have lost complete confidence in Wenger & the board.

Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians.

Interesting article published Friday on Tony RTK (formerly FTK) site Arsenal Insider, headed: Is Gazidis next in the firing line - worth a read.

Not sure if i can link because of said site forum.

Final note: is this my longest ever GW post/rant? The fire in my own belly is giving me some serious indigestion tonight! :lipssealed:

Whats the point in getting sad about it, after all, you pretty much called it.

Wouldn't say i'm bricking it, but am i getting more and more frustrated? Yes.

Its pretty obvious that AW needs sacking.

Thats what it is, just more frustration. Even when it is predicted, it is still a bit of a shock when it happens.

good read SGW and as you said the project starts again and will never stop its is an impossible task to bring youth into anything and expect it to develop over night some players mature faster than others the experienced players are what gel or hold the youngsters togather,i never beleived Cesc or RVP have that skill to pull a group together not sure why Cesc never could cant put my finger on that but for RVP he is injured and away from the trenches too much and i wonder if abit of this is because he is a soft cock,i think four players of good quality that have been there will be good for these youngsters, but we will still be very thin and i fear a slide down the table, but in fairness to these kids it is a hard ask to be thrown into the deep end like this,

When GW's eternal optimist is losing faith then it's time to start writing our wills.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said though. We have been getting gradually weaker over the past few seasons and nothing was done. The fact that we managed to stay in the top four and progress in the CL proves that Wenger is a great manager, but I or one am tired of being told barefaced lies.

Dont get me wrong i dont mean to sound as if im slating the youngsters , maybe i came across as if i were a little?
Everyone has to start somehwere but the balance is all wrong, its not the kids faults' and im all for throwing a promisng player in the deep end providing he has the experienced players alongside him, as you say some mature quicker than others & despite his errors today Frimpong was impressive, he is one such player who would benefit from this.

Apologies for the length of my last post, but thanks for reading and you too Fabrestuta. I know i can sometimes be put off by lengthy posts. ;)

Im assuming you googled & read the afore mentioned article regarding Gazidis?

Depite my essay, you know me, there is hope rather than blind faith lurking in me somewhere, one example would be me turning to Darren and telling him after the confirmed line-ups - "At least this team has played together for years!"
Silver linings & irony in between the lines? PMSL ;)

We've all been saying it for too long now. He's past his sell by date, he's run out of options, ideas and excuses. He must go now before the damage is too deep to fix - That's if it isn't already.

AW has until the end of the transfer window to shore things up - He's not going to do it, so we're in deep amounts of crap with no hope of recovery until the winter window, by which time it already may be too late to turn things round.

Right now, Udinese is a paramount win - On current form, and with the lack of players at his disposal, we're going to seriously struggle, and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if it's Europa for Arsenal this season. ManUre are going to pull us to shreds, it'll be like lambs to the slaughter. On the back of that, heads are going to be down, we'll be throwing needless points away, and struggle to find/maintain any form.

No single club is too big to go down, rightly or wrongly I'm calling a relegation dog fight now. We haven't got the personnel to deal with this right now, we certainly haven't got the right man at the helm.

Something needs to change, and it needs to change right now - That's if it isn't already too late, and from where I'm sitting, it's over a year too late.
