Just to pick some bits out of the interview, he said the red was harsh (WHAT?) The first was offside (it was an own goal) Scandalous luck (You make your own luck in this game) He doesn't know about Nasri (Look at his body language both on Sky and BBC, you can tell he's trying to dodge it, and lie about it) He's optimistic (Yep, that's about the only hope, optimism) Amazing spirit (What game was he watching)

I've said it before and I'll say it again - He couldn't lie straight in a bed, and the proof of a lie is when he opens his mouth.

It amazes me that the optimism/hope our manager has after this game is in a player who shouldn't be in the squad to begin with. If nasri had it his way he would be at citeh now. After cescs departure we would have wilshere and rosicky left to run our midfield with no one left on the bench to help out in case of injury. This all for a team that sells everyone at a profit.. wut??

One of the positives from today has got to be that we were missing Song, Gervinho, Rosicky, Diaby, Gibbs, Wilshere, Koschielny and Djourou. That's a lot of people missing to expect something out of a game against a deep deep squad like Liverpool who are only missing Gerrard and Johnson.

Regardless of Samir, we are crying out for a Mertesacker or Cahill, Mata or Hazard and CF/striker. Reasons are because Veramelen deserves better beside him, Arshavin is not startin 11 worthy, and Chamakh and Bendtner are useless.

How is that a positive, your squad wins the league not the starting XI, we should have players who should be ready to step in or knocking on the door for a first team start.

You Know mg86 the players did not let themselves down today . They need not feel embarrassed . Its the managers fault that our bench was so wafer thin in terms of quality today . Injuries happen to everybody , but if u struggle to find eleven players to start the second game of the season , the only person who has to be blamed is Wenger.

They were good I thought up until the Frimpong red, in fact Liverpool looked worthless in possession and attack and we looked set to sneak one in. Going down one completely changed the game but Jenkinson and Frimpong were quality and Miquel was good even if he got an unfair own goal from that clearance.

I know I might be harsh here, but I didn't think Miguel played good, there was a nice pass on and he always go long looking for RVP.

Even in his dreams he would have never expected to start the second game of the season with Vermaelen, Djorou , Koscieny , Squillaci and Jenkinson [he can play CB] ahead of him . He was overawed and unnerved . I would say he did what was expected of him. He was nothing great but he did his job 'according to his abilities and experience.

just saw the highlights and we didn't look that bad at all. we were really unlucky! frimpong looked good but was just stupid. and you can't expect from a player like miquel to make no mistakes!

Vermaelen had a great game. Hopefully he can keep up that level of performance. The Hawkes looks good in goal. He's not afraid to shout at the defence and come out and grab crosses. The main worry is the alarming lack of creativity. I don't buy into this "beautiful football" nonsense. We haven't played consistently good football since the early months of the 2007/08 season. We've only scored one goal in three games this season. I think we need proper wingers and a 4-4-2 formation. The 4-3-3 just jams thing in midfield. Our lack of depth is alarming. You need a deep squad to win the title and we don't have one. Wenger's physical decline is awful but Arsenal's problems are all of his own making.
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run
