Same. But I stuck with RVP anyway. I think Cavani scored 34 league goals, and was injured for 6 games. Won the league that season with 96 points.

Second season I stuck it out with City for the entire season. Last game I played them at home, and I was 2 points behind them in the league. They won 2-0 :disgust:

Got 2 FA Cups and 1 league title. Gone out in the semis twice in the CL(first time to Manure, second time to Citeh).

After losing the league title I convinced the board to upgrade my funds so I could win it next year(yeah right). They gave me about 34 mil and I sold a couple of deadwood players(Gervinho, Rosicky, Squillaci etc.)

Am unbeaten in the league, scoring 22 and conceding 2(bought 3 new CB's coz my defense cost me last season. Changed my tactics as well) after 7 matches.
Current team:
Chez
Sagna--Koscielny/Mert--Astori/Verm--Baines
M'Vila/Song
Ramsey/Wilshere--Arteta/Song
Kagawa/Eriksen
Neymar/Theo--Cavani/Chamakh

Cavani + Neymar < Carroll + Henderson :)
Cavani + Neymar + Astori + M'Vila = 110.5 mil pounds
Baines + Eriksen = 24 mil
Kagawa signed on a free :sneaky2:

I'm having a pretty miserable summer. I managed to buy Jovetic who was my top target but had to pay way over the odds, £36m and his agent was a total muppet. Can't get any of my other targets and a couple (Doumbia & Gaston Ramirez) who I wanted as they're good and not crazy expensive went really early in the window before I could get funds. To f***ing Liverpool and Stoke! And there's no decent left backs still, I tried to buy Enrique and the scousers told me to pay £50m or piss off

Still can't shift many of our shit players, damn you Wenger for leaving me this mess to clear up. I think I'm going to keep Vela though. Bendtner and RVP are both begging me to keep them too lol, which will probably happen as I can't sell either. I did manage to sell Chamakh to Wolves for £7m. It's annoying just like Fifa that you have to pay like 5 times a players worth to get them but you struggle to sell players for a fair price

Happened to me with Hamsik. He was No. 1 on my list and I was willing to pay over the odds(he went for 25, I was willing to go to 30), but I couldn't get rid of the deadwood fast enough.Trust City to always have the funds :disgust:

Happpened to me with Kompany and Thiago Silva(of course, I was never gnna get them anyway)

One of the few faults with the game. But sometimes I am able to get a fair deal, or I look really hard and conjure up a 'Wenger' transfer. Eriksen and Kagawa were 2 of the hottest properties, and managed to convince them to come for basically nothing(something like 8 mil for the 2), and they're on small salaries as well. In terms of overpaying, Cavani was well worth 25, Neymar was a bargain at 28, M'Vila was an exception because he was bought in Jan so I could contend for the title, so the board took care of it. Also, I thought Astori was a rip-off at 27, but he's more than proven his worth. Only Baines really that was overpriced IMO, but he's British, so what you gnna do ;)

They're usually out late October/early November.

Don't know if you guys care for this but used it last year and downloaded it again this year. He just basically updates all the transfers around the world and makes ability changes on who deserves it, I don't like that side of it but everything is upto date so I can deal with it.

Says latest 1 is 4th August but that's obviously wrong, the latest one is 21st July I believe, has Rangers in Division 3, etc.

Yeah, couldn't do with the stat changes. The opinion of one man can't be relyed upon when it comes to fm stats unless he's completely fair and unbiased. And no one is completely fair and unbiased!

Agreed, he does however get most of his information off people on there but fans of each club will just say their player deserves a rise.

I told him to improve Curtis Main, because he's just plain awful on it whereas in real life he's decent. He didn't improve him much though if he even did.

Just pisses me off than Liverpool and Stoke were able to buy very good players for £17m and £11m respectively - fair prices, but those very same players would have cost me around £35m & £28m. For a game that has been going this long with such a good reputation that is just ridiculous

Maybe it's in the programming to make it more difficult. No one likes a game that's too easy.

The difficult part is winning at Old Trafford. We don't need it to be harder to buy players.
But I have to say that for all we know we might just be really crap negotiators....

Is 2012 any good? The last one I played was 2008 or 2009, how much better is this one?

It is on sale atm so I am half considering it.

Anyone got the new one? Got it for my birthday as I was a bit hesitant to get it myself as I couldn't get into the demo really, however I'm enjoying it.

I started as Huddersfield, they've got a nice young team and a bit of money to spend. Started alright getting to around 3rd or 4th after 10 games but I've not done great in recent games and have dropped to around 8th-10th after a 4-2 loss at Leeds. :hiding:
