Martin fulop is my motm today. Without his vision, technical inability and relentless ineptude, we may have been looking at a different outcome.

Villain of the day today was that linesman. Was he chasing the dragon or something, his reactions were no existent. Also love how Olson failed to get a yellow today after taking chunks out of rvp constantly and the ref blowing up for a WBA free kick, when their player blatantly done his hamstring. f***ing pathetic.

Well done, Gibbs

Bloody one man team :frogwink:

I shudder to think where we would be without RVP this season. Despite our final position in the table, we clearly should have been in the bottom half of the table. Lucky doesn't even begin to descibe our 2011/12 season.

*We don't have the quality of a CL team
*We don't have the mental strength of a CL team
*We don't have the quality depth of a CL team
and
*We certainly don't use the right tactics of a CL team

Hopefully securing CL football will mean the introduction of true quality players. I also hope Wenger doesn't use our final league position as an excuse not to buy players because we're in desperate need of them. Quality and not quantity, that should be our objective for the summer

yes funny to see that robin van persie bloke jump out from the terraces pull on a shirt and score goals.
we should think about giving him a contract...oh wait he has 1 he did his job he did it very well but he did his job.
thats what quality players do

I think there is a little too much negativity about the defense today though I completely agree they haven't looked good enough recently. This was a WBA side playing at home and determined to send Hodgson off on a high.

They had three honest chances to score all game. One was a header that Van Persie cleared off the line, a drive into the box stopped by a brilliant slide tackle from Gibbs and a counter that saw a very percise and well struck shot to score.

The first goal was a complete joke, he was offside by atleast 2 yards. The second fast break chance again Long was offside and it wasn't called. To be fair the same linesman was so bad he gave us a corner that we didn't deserve but both these chances were officiating errors.

That means if you take away the awful performance from their keeper, we still draw even with them. But those player mistakes are just as much a part of the game as any other part so we scored two scrappy goals, whatever, thats what you have to do sometimes against sides like Hodgson's that sit back.

I thought we'd screw up. I'm so glad we got third. :arse fan:
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run
