West Brom v Arsenal | Premiership 13/05/2012

Re: West Brom v Arsenal | Premiership 13/05/2012

A spokesperson, speaking to The people, insisted there will be only four English representatives for 2012-13.
'In the situation that Chelsea win the champions League and Arsenal [or Tottenham] finish fourth, they will then play in the Europa League.'

if Chelsea win the Champions League final against Bayern Munich, the team finishing fourth no longer qualifies for next season's competition. Instead, they will play in the Europa League, along with the club finishing fifth, as Chelsea's spot in the competition for winning the FA Cup is reallocated.

And SSN just said we've sealed Champion's League group stages by finishing 3rd no matter what.

Good question, I was wondering that myself. If we don't have to go through the playoffs, then I'll be wanting Chelsea to win the final. Better than Spurs getting in! Lesser of two evils.

We go straight to the group stage.

I voted for Gibbs as MOTM on the official website based solely on that tackle at the end that denied West Brom their equaliser. That tackle probably just saved the club millions and a future to look forward too. It just might keep RVP as well.

Well done, Gibbs

Surely Benayoun has to be in the frame for MoTM. He was like someone with ADD who'd drank 5 redbulls and done a bag of speed. Few bad touches but he was everywhere.

Yossi MOTM def. He said he wanted to end his loan on a high and he definitely did IMO.

Wasn't it great to see a bloke to put in the kind of performance that he did today despite not even being sure of his stay here next season?

It was a lessen to some of our ''permanent players '' as to what is putting in a shift like and what is commitment all about.

Bloody one man team :frogwink:

I shudder to think where we would be without RVP this season. Despite our final position in the table, we clearly should have been in the bottom half of the table. Lucky doesn't even begin to descibe our 2011/12 season.

*We don't have the quality of a CL team
*We don't have the mental strength of a CL team
*We don't have the quality depth of a CL team
and
*We certainly don't use the right tactics of a CL team

Hopefully securing CL football will mean the introduction of true quality players. I also hope Wenger doesn't use our final league position as an excuse not to buy players because we're in desperate need of them. Quality and not quantity, that should be our objective for the summer

Wouldn't actually be averse to getting Yossi to stay here permanently. He gives his all, has the ability, and fits in just about everywhere. Great squad player.
I'm out, pushed before I could jump.
It was fun.
