yes mate where were you
were you not aware of the transport chaos affecting britain yesterday
the guy who sits next to me has moved up to manchester for work and text me at 1-15 to say he could,nt make it because of train problems.
my uncle who had a ticket in the family enclosure ended up sitting next to me so there is my note for the reason for a lack of attendance.
i don,t understand this obsession for digging out the crowds at the emirates?
when we were beating aston villa 3-2 in oct 1985 in front of 19 thousend i don,t remember the big issue being where are the other 26,000?
if you could go you went if you could,nt so be it

Not only do they replay Kos' challenge on Thomas as if it could ever be a penalty, but there's no breakdown after the game... no talk of the striker that's scored 11 in 11. :dontknow:

missed match of the day but there was a challenge in the box on walcott just before that that they failed to show on football 1st

We have not had a result like that where we scored early, put the game away and made it look comfortable in I don't know how long. Last year it took two tries to get by a league 1 side.

That's the sort of result that stats rebuilding some of my confidence.

Thanks for that!

That 3rd goal was definitely what were all about. Great build up with a great finish! The best thing to come out of yesterday is the amount of possession we had which we actually turned into goals, usually were see us trying to walk to ball into the net scrapping for a win. Another good win under the belt now, lets keep it going! The Arsenal we know is finding it's feet again.

cant beleive we have won and getting stick, actually to win ugly is what champion teams are made of,dont get me wrong we are a long way off being a contender yet, most pleasing thing for me is players starting to work hard for each other.

I was out all day yesterday so only just watch this on Footy first.
Very pleased with the result and the performance.
Seemed like a more disciplined set up than usual for us with Arteta finally playing further forward than Song. Good to see Song in the right place for a change and Arteta going forward more resulted in a goal.
He's been a bit 'functional' lately and we all know that when Jack returns he'll be benched, but say what you like about him he has the goal mouth composure and clinical finishing that both Jack and Aaron lack.

Also noticed that Santos made far less of his crazy forward runs and maybe that's partially why we kept a clean sheet. It's also down the team spirit we showed and the combined effort to close the opposition down.
First Prem clean sheet for a while so that'll give the back four confidence. I said it before but I think Kos & TV5 are our two best CBs on current form.
What can you say about TV? First start = goal! Good finish.

On the attacking front Jenkinson's crossing was superb. Could've scored more goals if our players had attacked the ball a bit more. Despite all his experience Sagna could learn a few things from Jenkinson.

On another note, wtf was Shez doing kicking the ball straight into touch from a goal kick? :dizzy:
Also why was Arteta wandering about in the goal behind Shez again? Has no-one spoken to him since the Chelscum game?

I didn't even think the win was ugly. :dontknow: Good win and a good performance imo.
Bear in mind that this is a team that beat Aston Villa a couple of weeks ago.

We'll get stick all the time on here, irrespective of what we do, (spectacular) win lose or draw.
When we beat Abramobitch's billions it was only because Chel$ki were shit, when we drew against Marseille it was because we were shit and not because Marseille are a very well organised defensive unit and now that we've put in a dominating performance with 3 great goals it's only because West Brom are shit.

Giving a brand new team some credit just isn't trendy right now on the net.

never thought we were
still believe defensive issues have not been resolved but will never denigrate a win because of the opposition
seen us drop points in games that you would have expected us to win
you can only beat whats in front of you and i thought our ball retention and pro active defending was the best it has been for some time

i agree mate but it was,nt ugly
it was the kind of controlled performance that we have lacked in the last 15months at home in the league

not so much ugly but in a way we are not accustomed for some time,im not sure west brom were up for it almost went through the motions, but take nothing away i like alot of what i am seeing, and provided our cb's continue to perform and supply the cover for our backs forward runs we look competetive but in a different way.
