Kossie the Colossus!!

Postby gzagee » Wed Feb 16, 2011 9:36 pm

Every man played his part but tonight Kossie was an absolute Colossus!

It was like a watershed moment. Maybe I'm caught up in the moment? Maybe this performance has been coming but, f**k me, was he a man mountain!!!

You are not alone G, every run, every tackle, every block, every clearance, he was THERE. Kos had an absolutely massive game.

Cant believe his performance, he dealt with Messi deeply. He easily had Messi offside for his goal as well. Probably not a foot wrong in this game.

Wenger is a grade A genius lol

Kossie the Colossus!!

+1

Nothing else I can add to that. The dude was an absolute f***ing beast! Even the challenge in the peno-area was absolutely perfect, without even a hint of being risky!

He was great... but far from perfect.

He would have been at fault for Messi's goal had he finished the chip he put wide.

Not knocking his overall performance though, 8 or 9.

(probably shouldn't even post this since you'll all probably overreact)
This space used to be more fun...

I would like to state that I believe he brought the game to Barca. He was constantly standing up to Messi, nicking it off him and even charging up the field and starting one attack.

One great display.

One of the greatest individual defensive performances, i have EVER seen, EVER.

I don't think i ever saw Vermaelen put in a performance as good as that.

He was simply sensational, he saved our arses nearly single-handedly.

Is there a better French defender in World football? Show him to me because i aint seen him.

He was absolutely fantastic. I did want to strangle him for his passing a few times but all well and truly forgiven by the end

He was amazing. Not only his defensive work but he must be the best cb passer around. He picks out some amazing passes. He will only get better. Very impressive.

true, also, he has this trait of applying pressure early and getting contact to the ball before the attacker has a chance to turn, think that happened quite a few times today, he started quite a few Arsenal attacks from that move.

The guy was generally super solid, he managed to put DJ in the shade this game!
