When he scored his goal he bust a gut running the entire length of the pitch to get into the box and then took the goal very well. Nice and composed finish.
But there were still some classic Diaby moments in there, ponderous on the ball, breaking down our attacking moves etc.
Everyone else is happy to take two touches then move the ball on even if that means passing backwards or sideways but he has to draw a crowd of oppo players around him and then get tackled.
He's gradually improving with every game though and the mistakes are slowly decreasing in number. He'll probably be on top form just as Denilson recovers and takes his place back.
if you ignore the trainwreck that was his performance in the yid match
i agree though, he wasnt brilliant but was decent, as he has been the last few weeks other than the scum match. always said he receives over the top unfair criticism when he really hasn't played all that badly. its just gotten to a point where the bandwagoners will go OTT with any single mistake he makes and amplify it.
good to see him getting some praise where it's warranted though.
he's shown some signs that he can be a really good player, its just frustrating he then goes and gives away loose passes or gets outjumped by a midgit.
