You know what does my head in....?

Postby Good_Eye_Sniper » Fri Jul 04, 2008 11:32 am

I have lots of pet hates, but occasionally new ones surface that do my head in.

So, I thought I would start a thread for the sole purpose of airing your annoyances, no matter how petty or insignificant they might seem.

Anyway, today's pet hate for me is this :

How come when you ask someone from London what their address is, they ALWAYS say something along the lines of "1 Blah Blah Avenue, Blah Blah, London, SW1......."

Yeah? Where's the rest of the post code? I'm not psychic! :snooty:

Like I said, some may not be mind blowingly annoying, just annoying to the individual...

Any others?

Old people in the supermarket / swimming pool / on the road's etc at the weekend. WHY ? They have all the time they want in the week when we are all at work yet still stand in the middle of the aisle in Tesco on a saturday morning.

Another one is parking in the mother and baby spaces when there is quite clearly no child with them.

Bad service in general for a third little moan.

I feel better now.............

You can turn right if there's a red light here as long as the way is clear, and I go mental if its a two lane road and there's some muppet waiting to go straight while they sit in the right lane even though the left is empty.

There is only one thing that really annoys me and that's shopping on certain days.

Take today for example, I went to the supermarket and from the second I got in there was this elderly couple who stopped right infront of me.

So I went around them. Got to the top of the first isle and they were there again and stopped bang infront of me :dontknow:

Nearly every other isle I went down this happened with that same couple! I'm sure they kept skipping an isle to catch me at the next one!

200% agree with all the above

Another thing that annoys me is the "We're sorry for the inconvenience" bollocks you see and hear from people when things go wrong. Whether it's a road sign that says it at roadworks, or a feeble announcer on TV when the signal is lost.

It just seems so hollow and pointless. I don't want your apologies, I want it sorting! :snooty:

The NHS seriously annoy me!

When I screwed my back up, it took 19 weeks to get me back to work, although when it was finally correctly diagnosed, the treatment was 4 weeks, so that meant 15 weeks of fanny-arsing around waiting for appointments.

This current problem is already into it's fifth week, and I'm waiting for an appointment again, gawd knows when that will happen, and even then, after diagnosis, it'll be [insert figure] until I get sent to the right place for the right treatment.

All this, and SSP is £77 a week. Given that the rent on this place is pushing £55 now, it leaves £22 to feed a family of six on. Go figure why I'm a touch annoyed!

Oh where to start, people who leave doors open in my house - if your in my house you weren't born in a park
people who chew loudly - manners are free
fat birds who are constanly on diets but gorge on chocolate and never go to the gym - do us all a favour and get your fat arse to weight watchers
twats who play music on their phones on the bus/tube/train - no-one likes the shit you play
people who stop when they're on their mobiles - it's a f***ing MOBILE you **** walk with it!

*breathe*

My Mrs telling me tio pick my shoes up constantly - look where your going love and you won't trip
people who seem to use umbrellas as weapons when its raining - we all wanna keep dry but I do want the use of my eyes
**** who put up happy birthday signs on roundabouts and bridges - we dont give a shit if it's Franks 50th he's probably a twat
old wankers who seem shocked that a bus driver/checkout assistant asks them for cash - have it ready and save me some time
people who aren't your girlfriend who steal food from your plate - I paid for it now f**k off
them people at the airport that rush to get on the plane - it ain't leaving that fast
people who try to force you to have a drink - if i wanted one i'd have one
birds who leave their shopping trolleys all over the aisle in Tescos
and my personal worst of all white socks and black trousers, self explanitory basically.

I shouldn't have started.

1) NME magasine

2) Ultra-left wingers and ultra right wingers (politically, not on the football pitch)

3) Fan boys

4) Most television programmes

5) Adverts with kids singing or that use quaint songs

6) Amy Whinehouse and the rest of the pratt pack (Mark Ronson, Peaches Geldof, etc)

7) London businessmen who think they are so important they can knock women over onto their face in the rush hour just because they will be held up for a further 4 seconds.

8 ) People who think "saying your mind no matter what the context or consequences" is cool and something to look up to.

9) The England football team

10) The England cricket teams batting ability (although i love the lads don't get me wrong)
