How To Get To Ashburton Grove

I strongly advise the use of public transport when you visit Arsenal. The Stadium is well served by The Underground network. The Piccadilly Line runs a service to Arsenal Station, which is no more than a three minute walk to the ground. Exit the station, turn right and follow Gillespie Road until the bend, and the ground is unmissable.

This station can be VERY busy on match days, but is by far my preferred choice. Holloway Road to The South is about a ten minute walk, and provides of host of local hostelries en route.

The Piccadilly Line is coloured dark blue on a map of the tube system.

The Victoria Line, coloured light blue on your map, runs a service to Finsbury Park, which is another VERY busy station on match days. Again, a short walk to Ashburton Grove. The Arsenal World Of Sport shop is located at Finsbury Park tube, and is well worth a visit.

You can also use "Top-train" (or overground) trains to Finsbury Park. The station is served from Kings Cross, which is probably the easiest option if you are changing trains from any London destination.

Locally, there is a bus station at Finsbury Park. Countless bus services call there, 4, 19, 29, 106, 153, 210, 236, 253, 254, 259, and 279 among others.

When travelling from The North and East, I would suggest parking outside The Capital, and using public transport as outlined above. From West and South use top trains to London Bridge, and change to The Underground. Use The Northern Line, Northbound to Kings Cross, and change to either The Piccadilly or Victoria Line, depending on where you prefer to alight. The Northern Line is coloured black on your tube map.

From The North West, you will almost certainly arrive into London at Euston, which is a few minutes walk from Kings Cross, but also served by The Victoria Line tube. For car drivers, again I would recommend not driving into London, rather park on the outskirts and use public transport as outlined above.

Travelling on London Underground could not be easier. Arsenal station (Piccadilly), Holloway Road (Piccadilly) and Finsbury Park (Victoria) are all situated in Zone 2. You can either purchase a zone 2 ticket from the machines, or (as I do) buy an all day card, which would allow you to travel anywhere within London for about £6.

Car parking is virtually non-existant anywhere within walking distance from Ashburton Grove, and my personal message is to not even bother trying!
